Our work shop practice utilizes traditional, time honored repair and restoration techniques executed to the highest standard.
We specialize in the repair and restoration of historically significant instruments. We cater to the needs of serious students and professionals including buying a new instrument, tonal adjustments, and day-to-day repairs. We also provide routine bow maintenance and repair and restoration from the simplest to the most complex. We give free repair estimates which require an in person examination of the instrument. Repairing an instrument often refers to minor work such as carving a new bridge, smoothing a fingerboard, treating pegs, and touching up the varnish.

Cremona Fine Violins is constantly seeking instruments of quality for our clients. If you are interested in releasing your instrument back into the marketplace we can help you find a good home for it. All consignment instruments will need to be restored and adjusted before listing them. The cost of this will be the responsibility of the seller.
The sales commission and terms of sale and listing will be negotiated individually based on the value and condition of each instrument. We typically only take fine collector instruments of significant value on consignment. Please feel free to inquire about the typical terms of a consignment sale.
